ജനാധിപത്യം, അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ, സ്വേച്ഛാധിപത്യം തുടങ്ങിയവയെക്കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് , കോൺഗ്രസ് സ്വയം, ഒന്ന് വിലയിരുത്തുന്നത്, നന്നായിരിക്കും.

ഭാരതീയ ജനാധിപത്യ ഇതിഹാസത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും കറുത്ത ദിവസം ആണ് അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ അഥവാ എമർജൻസി! 49 വർഷം മുമ്പ് ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധി ‘തൻറെ ഇലക്ഷൻ എതിരെ വന്ന കോടതി വിധി മറികടക്കാൻ ആണ് അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ പ്രഖ്യാപിചത്.

മൂന്നാം തവണയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. മറ്റ് രണ്ട് തവണ 1968 (ഇന്ത്യ-ചൈന യുദ്ധം), 1971 (ഇന്ത്യ-പാകിസ്ഥാൻ യുദ്ധം) എന്നിവയായിരുന്നു.

1975 ജൂൺ 25 മുതൽ 1977 മാർച്ച് 21 വരെ ആണ് ഭാരതത്തിൽ എമർജൻസി നിലനിന്നത്. 21 മാസം നീണ്ടു നിന്ന കാലാവധിയിൽ,ഇന്ദിര ഗാന്ധിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ കാണിച്ചുകൂട്ടിയത് ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാൻ ആവാത്ത ക്രൂരതയും മനുഷ്യാവകാശ ലംഘനവും ആണ്.

1,00,000-ത്തിലധികം ആളുകളെ വിചാരണ കൂടാതെ ജയിലിലടച്ചു.

22 കസ്റ്റഡി മരണങ്ങൾ ആണ് കടുത്ത മാധ്യമ നിയന്ത്രണം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളത്.

10 ലക്ഷത്തോളം പേരെ നിർബന്ധിത വന്ധ്യംകരണം നടത്തി എന്നാണ് വിവരങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളത്.

ജനങ്ങൾ ഇത് മറക്കരുത് ഒരിക്കലും… ഇത് വീണ്ടും ആവർത്തിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കാൻ, പുതിയ തലമുറയ്ക്ക് അനുഭവസ്ഥർ പറഞ്ഞ് കൊടുക്കണം…

അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥയിൽ ഉണ്ടായ അനുഭവങ്ങൾ കാരണം ജനങ്ങൾ, ഇന്ദിര ഗാന്ധിയെയും, കോൺഗ്രസിനെയും വെറുത്തുപോയി. അതിൻ്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ആയി, അടുത്ത ലോകസഭയിൽ കോൺഗ്രസിനെ തോൽപിച്ച് “കയ്യിൽ” തന്നെ കൊടുത്തു. അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥയ്ക്ക് മുമ്പ് കോൺഗ്രസ്: ലോക്സഭയിൽ 352 സീറ്റുകൾ ആയിരുന്നു. അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം കോൺഗ്രസ്: 153 സീറ്റുകൾ ആയി ചുരുങ്ങി.

ഒന്ന് ചോദിക്കട്ടെ, കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് എമർജൻസി നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ പാർട്ടി അല്ലേ?അവർക്ക് സംവിധാനം സംരക്ഷിക്കുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ഇറങ്ങാൻ എന്ത് അർഹതയാണ് ഉള്ളത്? ഇനിയെങ്കിലും, കോൺഗ്രസും, രാഹുൽ ഗാന്ധിയും, ഇന്ദിര ഗാന്ധി 1975ൽ എമർജൻസി നടപ്പിലാക്കിയതിനെ ചൊല്ലി മാപ്പ് പറയുമോ?

അത് പോലെ @Befitting Facts-നെതിരായ നടപടിയിൽ കോൺഗ്രസ് സർക്കാരിൻ്റെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളെ തെലങ്കാന ഹൈക്കോടതിയും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തു!

ഇന്ന് ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധിയുടെയും, കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് പാർട്ടിയുടെയും സംഭാവന ആയ അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥയുടെ 49-ാ വാർഷികം! പക്ഷേ കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് ഒന്നും പഠിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് അധികാരത്തിലുള്ള രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ , ഇന്നും , അത് തന്നെ അവസ്ഥ, എമർജൻസി മാറിയിട്ടില്ല !!! അത് കൊണ്ട് , ഇന്നും, എന്നും ജാഗ്രത വേണം….
