അടുത്തിടെയുണ്ടായ നിരക്ക് വർദ്ധനവ് മൂലം ചെറിയ വെത്യാസം ഉണ്ടായി എന്നല്ലാതെ കെഎസ്ആർടിസി യുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ ഒന്നും സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നുള്ളതാണ് വാസ്തവം 2016-17 കാലയളവിൽ പ്രതിമാസ വരുമാനം 155 കോടി ആയിരുന്നു , 2017-18 കാലയളവിൽ പ്രതിമാസ വരുമാനം 175 കോടിയോളം കോർപ്പറേഷനുണ്ട്. കിട്ടുന്ന വരുമാനം ശമ്പളവും പെന്ഷനും, കടം വാങ്ങിയ തുകയുടെ പലിശ അടക്കാൻ പോലും തികയുന്നില്ല, എന്നുള്ളതാണ് വാസ്തവം. അതായതു മാസച്ചിലവ് ഏതാണ്ട് 270 കോടിയോളം ആണ്, അതിൽ ശമ്പളം ഇനത്തിൽ 86 കോടി, പെൻഷൻ 55 കോടി, ഡീസൽ 90 കോടി, വായ്പ്പ തിരിച്ചടവ് 26 കോടി, 26 കോടിയായി ചുരുങ്ങിയതിനും കാരണമുണ്ട് അത് കൺസോർഷ്യം ലോൺ എടുത്തതുകൊണ്ട് വായ്പ തിരിച്ചടവ് കാലാവധി 6-7 വർഷം എന്നത് 20 വർഷത്തേക്ക് വർധിപ്പിച്ചു അതുകൊണ്ടു പ്രതിദിനം 86 ലക്ഷം ആയി കുറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ സ്പെയർ പാർട്സ് , ടയർ, ട്യൂബ്, ഈ ഇനങ്ങളിലാണ് പ്രധാനമായും അഴിമതി നടക്കുന്നത്.
കൂടാതെ 2019 ഓടെ 2,200 പേരോളം പിരിഞ്ഞു പോകും. അവരിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും ഡ്രൈവർമാരാണ്. പെൻഷൻ അടയ്ക്കുന്നതിന് 3.78 കോടി രൂപയും റിട്ടയർമെൻറ് ആനുകൂല്യത്തിന് 144 കോടി രൂപയും കോർപറേഷൻ കണ്ടെത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

അങ്ങനെ അകെ മൊത്തം കടത്തിൽ മുങ്ങിയാണ് നമ്മുടെ കെഎസ്ആർടിസി യുടെ ജീവിതം, അത് ഏതാണ്ട് 10000 കൊടിക്കു മുകളിൽ ആയിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഓരോ വർഷത്തിലും അത് 2000 കോടിയോളം അധിക നഷ്ടം വഹിച്ചു മുന്നേറുന്നു. മെയ് 2017 ൽ 8031 കോടിയോളം ആയിരുന്നു , 2018 മെയ് അത് ഏകദേശം 10000 കോടിക്ക് മുകളിൽ എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടാകും. കൂടാതെ അണിയറയിൽ പിരിച്ചുവിടൽ, ടയർ ക്ഷാമം എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള കലാപരിപാടികൾ നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കൂടുതൽ വിവരിക്കുന്നില്ല ഏകദേശം ഒരു ധാരണ കിട്ടി കാണുമല്ലോ അല്ലെ.
